Associate Level Certifications
Certified Emergency Power Systems Specialist (CEPSS)

Professional Level Certifications
Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)

Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS)

Certified Marine Chemist (CMC)

How much do NFPA Certification Programs cost?
- There is a $399 certification program fee for each certification with the exception of CHRS, which is $245.
- A $180 recertification fee applies for all except CFPS, which has a $145 annual renewal fee.

What is the difference between the Associate Level, Professional Level, and Expert Level Certifications?
- Associate = Open to anyone at any point in their career. An Associate Level Certification validates experience in your specialized work.
- Professional = Ideal for candidates with some prior experience in the applicable field. A Professional Level Certification is a preliminary stepping-stone towards an Expert Level certification.
- Expert = Available for authorities in their field. The Expert Level Certification verifies your expertise. Requirements may include on-the-job experience, higher education, and additional qualifications and may call for more extensive study and preparation. Candidates operate at an expert level.
How can I confirm if I am eligible for a particular NFPA Certification?
- Associate Level Certification requires high school diploma, or equivalent, only. CEST also requires training.
- Professional and Expert Level Certifications have additional requirements, such as work experience, higher education, and/or training hours.
